The vertical capacity is 6-3/4-inches at the base max with a 6-inch crown. Packing power with portability, this tool has up to 4,300 RPMs, 15 amps, and a motor with brake, making this saw ideal for professionals and do-it-yourselfers alike. In addition to the ease of transportation, the CM12 12-inch single bevel compound miter saw also features maximum all-around cutting capacity. The highest nominal capacity cross cut is 8-inches at 0-degrees and 6-inches at 45-degrees. The cut capacity is 6-3/4-inches at the base max against fence and is 6-inches when crown nested. This miter saw also features a Squarelock quick release fence trademarked to Bosch. This high-precision Squarelock fence aligns the fence at 90-degrees to table and requires no adjustment. In addition, it features a one-touch lock and unlock to the slide fence for added support. In addition to the Squarelock is the easy accessible side bevel lock lever that is located on the right side of the bevel post, so that you never need to reach behind the tool for the lock lever. The miter detent override button is also conveniently located, with a push-button thumb actuated control up front so that you can quickly access it for fine miter angle adjustments. Finally, the CM12 is designed with integrated expanding base extensions, allowing the user to expand the base from 22-1/4-inches of material support to more than 37-inches for ultimate material control.
